LYDON BAINES JOHNSON AND THE THUNDERBIRDS - VIETNAM WAR MEDIA MEMES.

ABOVE: The Gray and Houseman construction team drive their way through a pass in the Asian jungles replete with palm trees for a new highway before the local monsoons.

ABOVE: The Gray and Houseman constructor tank blasts palm tree stumps out of the highway's pathway.

ABOVE: The Gray and Houseman Construction Company: "Gray" stands for the grayness of the CIA while "Houseman" represents the American Everyman being dragged into the Vietnam War post Kennedy.

ABOVE: The Gray and Houseman Constructor Company machine lays down fresh tarmac with painted roadway signs behind it.

ABOVE: In an effort to beat the Asian monsoons, a worker tries to plant nuctonic charges in the pass and becomes trapped. This reviews Lydon Baines Johnson's pondering over using nuclear weapons in Vietnam against the North Vietnamese Communists to end the war.

ABOVE: Lester the Project Manager directs the rescue effort in the blocked pass. The reverse of "JBL" is "LBJ", the common slogan initials of Kennedy's vice-president and then the US presidnet after Kennedy's assassination, Lydon Baines Johnson. Johnson's US presidential campaign slogan was "All The Way With LBJ !!".

In fact this Thunderbirds episode was produced in 1964 and would prophetically predict Johnson's inexorable and build-up of US military forces in Vietnam from Kennedy's initial small group of military advisers.
